NEWS END OF JUNE 2011
Listening to the TV the other day I gather that the price of maize (staple crop for many Kenyans) has gone up 300% this year. Pray for people here and elsewhere struggling to make ends meet while drought is affecting some parts and we are currently in the hunger season. (In my home area rainfall has been satisfactory and we are looking forward to some good crops.)
Good news for the Alliance for Vulnerable Mission - is that Trans-World Radio has agreed to co-sponsor our conference to be held in March of next year. Please pray that other co-sponsors also come on board. (For details see vulnerablemission.org)
Give thanks for the opportunity that I continue to have of spending a lot of time writing. In addition, I find a lot of my time at the computer is given over to leadership and administration of the AVM. Don Olden's recent visit here, part of his 4-nation tour of Africa, was excellent. Give thanks for the opportunities I continue to get to share from the Scriptures in various contexts around this area.
